About The Position

As a Staff Accountant you will be responsible for assisting the Controller with month-end close, General Ledger maintenance and reconciliations, bank account reconciliations, various audits, tax reporting, asset management, financial reporting and more.

  • Must possess excellent Excel skills, including proficiency with advanced formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, SUMIFS, IF-THEN statements, and other complex data analysis techniques.
  • Adept ability to learn accounting software, proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Must be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks and projects and required.
  • Ability to be right hand to Controller, facilitating ultimate financial accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
  • 5-7 years in a general accounting position, or Staff Accountant or similar role.
  • Full time position; 8am-5pm work schedule.
  • Expected to work around deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Controller with month-end close process, daily operational procedures, special projects, and assignments.
  • Daily bank account maintenance and reconciliations.
  • Daily Positive Pay maintenance.
  • Daily Bank Deposits
  • Responsible for various monthly credit card(s) reconciliation, with reconciling to GL.
  • Willing to help Accounts Payable Department process necessary entries.
  • General Ledger reconciliations and maintenance.
  • Preparation and input of journal entries.
  • Financial reporting.
  • Detailed financial analysis.
  • Participation in company's annual financial audit.
  • Various internal and external audits & reporting.
  • Fixed Asset & Lease maintenance, management.
  • Amortization and Depreciation schedules.
  • Inventory reconciliations.
  • Payroll backup processing and reporting.
  • Auditing payroll related liabilities and expenses.
  • Various payroll reconciliations.
  • Health insurance reconciliations.
  • Assist with Sales Tax calculations and filings.
