Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a medium to large information technology environment.
  • 5+ years of skill with Microsoft Office tools, particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • 3+ years of knowledge and skill using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • 3+ years of knowledge and skill using Microsoft Azure DevOps and Git.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in RBDMS (Risk Based Data Management) platform.
  • 2+ years of knowledge and experience with Oracle databases, particularly version 12c.
  • 2+ years of knowledge and skill using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • 2+ years of knowledge and skill using Microsoft Azure Cloud database services.
  • 2+ years of knowledge of database object migration/validation tools.
  • 2+ years of knowledge and understanding of ETL development and monitoring.
  • 2+ years of knowledge of database structures and theories.
  • 2+ years of knowledge of enterprise information management processes and methodologies.
  • 2+ years of knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to data management.
  • 2+ years of general knowledge of technology across all network layers and computer platforms.
  • 2+ years of knowledge and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 2+ years of excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly advanced SSIS development (packages, configurations, parameterization, error handling, logging) and data analysis to move and validate critical agency data among SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and mainframe sources.
  • Review existing bridges, propose performance/reliability improvements, and communicate technical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated ETL solutions with Microsoft SSIS.
  • Orchestrate data movement between SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake; integrate Azure Data Factory/Informatica and file automation.
  • Implement CDC/incremental patterns; tune performance via staging/partitioning, set-based SQL, and workload scheduling to meet SLAs.
  • Follow change management and code migration processes (Azure DevOps/Git); promote from Dev→Test/QA→Prod with auditable approvals.
  • Troubleshoot build/run failures; create runbooks; monitor and optimize ETL runtimes and job dependencies.
  • Elicit and document data & reporting requirements and translate into functional/data specifications.
  • Produce and maintain S2T mappings, business rules, data dictionaries, and lineage/flow diagrams.
  • Define and execute data quality and reconciliation controls; validate loads back to sources.
  • Support UAT for data changes/reports; coordinate remediation and re-tests.
  • Review database/report performance and suggest alternatives to meet SLA and usability goals.
  • Mentor junior staff; coordinate with SMEs, DBAs, ETL engineers, and reporting teams.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation in SharePoint/Confluence/Azure DevOps.
