About The Position

Senior Speech Language Pathologist / Inpatient Pediatrics / Full-Time / Day Flex NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital CUIMC - Morgan Stanley Children Hospital At NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital our Speech-Language Pathologists help pediatric patients experiencing serious impairments to connect with the world around them. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and treat critically ill newborns in our Level IV neonatal intensive care units, and medically complex patients in our pediatric intensive care and acute care pediatric units with complex feeding and swallowing disorders. You will work collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary care team and provide education/support to parents/caregivers. This is a Full-Time position working Tuesday -Saturday at Morgan Stanley Children Hospital (3959 Broadway, New York, NY 10032). You are also required to work 2 Holidays per year.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Clinical experience with pediatric patients, minimum 3 years.
  • Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
  • New York State licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Competency in dysphagia evaluation/treatment with medically complex pediatrics.
  • Competency in pediatric Modified Barium Swallow Study and/or Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with craniofacial anomalies, aerodigestive disorders, and complicated cardiac diagnoses.
  • Experience working with Trach/Vent patients.
