About The Position

Senior Speech Language Pathologist in Speech Pathology Unit at Redwood Memorial Hospital. This position is Part time and will work 8-hour Day Shifts. The Senior Staff Speech-Language Therapist (ST) is responsible for completing evaluations, developing written treatment plans, and providing on-going treatments that are designed to improve the patient's functional status in conjunction with overall treatment objectives. Meets all clinical, organizational and position requirements as defined in the Speech Therapy policies for Scope of Practice and Professional Standards. The Senior Speech Therapist also demonstrates advanced treatment skills and functions as a mentor in his/her area of expertise and has an active role in program development. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy or Master's degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited college or university.
  • Continuing education requirements for licensure renewal.
  • California Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 4 years of experience combined in rehab, acute, and outpatient proficiency.
  • 2 years of experience in specialty practice areas.

Responsibilities

  • Completing evaluations for patients.
  • Developing written treatment plans.
  • Providing ongoing treatments to improve patient's functional status.
  • Meeting all clinical, organizational, and position requirements as defined in the Speech Therapy policies.
  • Demonstrating advanced treatment skills.
  • Functioning as a mentor in the area of expertise.
