Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience for Specialty Representative.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience for Senior Specialty Representative.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales, marketing and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, healthcare medical device or medical supply industries.
  • Some experience and/or pre-graduate sales training and/or proven track record of successful leadership under pressure preferred for Specialty Representative.
  • 3 years+ experience preferred for Senior Specialty Representative.
  • Product or hospital sales experience in various medical specialties.
  • Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes.
  • Local Market knowledge.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy to promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager.
  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals.
  • Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and seek to learn and grow as a Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative.
