Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience.
  • Or Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience.
  • Or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry.
  • Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
  • Adaptability with Core Competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary customer contact and implement marketing strategy to promote Amgen products.
  • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals.
  • Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages and implementing planned programs.
  • Schedule and follow-up with medical educational programs and achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues.
  • Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
  • Build and maintain passion for products throughout the sales cycle while focusing on serving patients.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and foster continuous learning.
