About The Position

The Senior Specialty Representative at Amgen plays a crucial role in connecting with medical professionals to provide clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and assist them in navigating the complex payer environment. This position is focused on implementing marketing strategies, promoting products, and achieving sales targets while maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience.
  • More than 3 years' sales, marketing, and/or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, or related industries.
  • Product or hospital sales experience in various medical specialties such as oncology, cardiology, and more.
  • Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes.
  • Local market knowledge.
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical benefits to medical professionals.
  • Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages and conducting planned programs.
  • Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, customizing discussions based on customer needs and ensuring product access.
  • Provide feedback on marketing strategy and analyze the business effectiveness of sales activities.
  • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and seek to learn and grow as a Senior Specialty Representative.
  • Demonstrate passion for Amgen's products and sustain that passion throughout the sales cycle.
