The Brokerage Operations team is the backbone of our investment products, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our trading and account services. As a team of maker-owners, we manage the critical processes that handle billions of dollars, from trade settlement and corporate actions to client reporting and maintaining the official book of record. We’re looking for a Senior Specialist, Transfers to help us transform our transfer processes. In this role, you will turn complex, manual workflows into simple, reliable, and automated systems. You will work closely with data teams, engineers, and other operational partners to help our clients' transfers complete faster, more reliably, and with fewer errors. Your work will be critical in ensuring our processes are efficient and audit-ready. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to: Analyze our current transfer workflows to identify pain points and define clear requirements for process improvements. Partner with Engineering and Data Science teams to build and implement automated solutions. Replace manual, spreadsheet-based tasks with automated rules, alerts, and workflow steps. Develop and manage a standardized process for investigating and resolving complex transfer escalations. Take ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs) for transfers—like completion times and failure rates—to ensure the data is accurate and trustworthy. Create automated alerts to proactively identify and address stuck or at-risk transfers. Write and maintain clear documentation for new processes, and mentor team members to foster a culture of ownership and accountability.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years direct experience in a transfers operations role, preferably within a large financial institution
  • Possess strong SQL skills and are comfortable working with complex datasets to create clean, actionable insights and alerts.
  • Can effectively map out operational challenges and determine whether a solution requires a new process, a script, or a product change.
  • Are highly proficient with Google Sheets and Apps Script; experience with Python is a strong asset.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, escalate issues proactively, and are biased toward action and shipping solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with dbt, Preset/Superset, Jira, or workflow automation tools like Workato.
