About The Position

The Senior Specialist, Systems and Infrastructure Engineering will support the design approval process for fire and intrusion alarm projects, ensuring designs are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. This role partners across teams to maintain alignment, resolve issues, and safeguard critical infrastructure through consistent execution and process governance. The Systems and Infrastructure Engineering team ensures that Walmart facilities are equipped with safe, reliable, and compliant systems that support day-to-day operations and protect associates and customers. This role plays a key part in maintaining project accuracy and efficiency, driving continuous improvements, and helping the team deliver high-quality solutions that align with Walmart's mission to save people money so they can live better.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field OR 1 year's experience in logistics, supply chain, or related area.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in the security industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to take ownership, problem-solve, and ensure deliverables are met.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Quickbase, or Lucernex/Accruent systems.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences.
  • Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design approval process for fire and intrusion alarm projects.
  • Review design sets for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
  • Track milestones and apply escalation protocols to keep projects on schedule.
  • Drive project meetings, align stakeholders, and ensure clarity on next steps.
  • Govern completed designs to ensure alignment with departmental strategy and quality standards.
