L3Harris is hiring a hands-on Software Quality Engineer to own the end-to-end quality strategy for two business areas. This role combines strategic ownership with day-to-day leadership, giving you the mandate, and the resources, to elevate quality across the enterprise.   • Modernize and maintain a best-in-class software quality system that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Interfacing with software engineering to define the software quality strategy for two business areas, including building out a roadmap for the next generation of software quality support.
  • Champion continuous improvement to protect product integrity, meet cost and delivery targets, and ensure mission success.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all site-level quality matters, driving alignment across programs and with external customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Six Sigma/Lean certification.
  • Working knowledge of hardware quality engineering, electronic manufacturing, or embedded systems.
  • Java, C++, YAML, JavaScript, C#, and Docker Compose/Container.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), DevSecOps pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
  • Quality Trend Analysis and previous RCCA experience.
  • Jira and Confluence (Atlassian full site) knowledge and experience.
  • Experience developing and reporting Quality KPI metrics.
  • Proven success deploying and managing quality frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, configuration management, and audit preparation.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and executive-level presentation ability.
