About The Position

The Senior SmartLease Specialist is responsible for the sales and support of Ally's SmartLease strategy. The candidate will work with our team of sales and support specialists and be responsible for executing Ally's growth lease sales and support strategy. This individual will be responsible for a specific sales territory and expected to coordinate with their manager, Account Executives, Directors of Sales, and dealership customers. The position requires servicing Ally dealership customers that will require periodic travel. The position will require a strong understanding of Ally's lease opportunities, knowledge of programs for all OEMs Ally provides leasing for, and the ability to build and present presentations and proposals.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in the financial services industry is preferred, ideally experience in auto finance.
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience is required.
  • Must have managerial experience with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Individual must be sales oriented, self-motivated, and display excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise.
  • Background in dealership operations or strong understanding of how dealerships operate is preferred.
  • Experience presenting leasing to retail customers and/or dealers.

Responsibilities

  • Get the message out, both internally and externally to partners.
  • Identify vehicle specific opportunities to grow lease originations.
  • Complete monthly reports.
  • Seek management approval for plans and activities.
  • Help maximize the Growth lease business.
  • Work closely with the existing SmartLease sales team and matrix teams to ensure plans include organizational objectives and achieve necessary returns.
  • Understand the advantages of Ally programs and how to partner with dealers to drive business.
