About The Position

The Quality Senior Specialist is responsible for ensuring that FORMA product is consistent, compliant, and meets or exceeds our customer’s expectations. They are expected to advance a continuously improving quality environment, lead incoming quality inspections, and manage product quality issues with the support of Quality leadership. The position is intended for a motivated professional with an understanding of cosmetics cGMP, auditing, root cause analysis, and preventative actions who can excel with little supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience in quality role within the cosmetics, personal care, or similar field.
  • Basic knowledge of quality management systems and cGMP guidance (ISO 9001, ISO 22716).
  • Experience performing Quality audits.
  • Experience with a variety of Quality competencies such as statistical sampling methods , root cause analysis, and CAPA management.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently – a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Proficient in Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Oracle/NetSuite a plus.
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex data.
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be able to perform essential functions (with or without an accommodation) without posing a "direct threat" to the health and safety to self or others.

  • Experience with Oracle/NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage inbound product QC inspections from third party manufacturers.
  • Coordinate inspection requirements with receiving and warehouse teams.
  • Prioritize inbound inspections with product supply teams to ensure business needs are protected.
  • Maintain product specifications, standards and retains.
  • Ensure all products meet established standards for safety, compliance, quality, and performance.
  • Coordinate the receipt of Quality release documentation and samples as needed from third party manufacturers.
  • Track supplier performance data for monthly KPI reporting and review for opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate non-conformance reports and lead non-conformance investigations using root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ensure all CAPA are effective and closed in a timely fashion.
  • Provide timely communication on quality issues and status to Quality leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Perform audits of FORMA suppliers, distribution centers, and 3PL as required.
  • Support the development and deployment of in-house Quality processes and SOP.
  • Develop and deploy internal auditing tools and reports.
  • Create work instructions and training material to ensure processes are followed accurately and consistently. Perform quality training as required.
  • Support the review of policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Attend line trials for new product initiatives to support technical risk mitigation as needed.
  • Travel as required.
  • All other duties as required.
