Job Description Summary Hold the total responsibility to provide optimal quality, cost, delivery of components/sub assemblies and their impact on finished products. Develop and implement commodity strategies to support business requirement. Accountable for material cost, long-term assurance of supply, supplier performance and support of Nordson supplier selection requirements as well as purchasing related information and data management. Develop and implement commodity strategies to support business requirement. Accountable for material cost, long-term assurance of supply, supplier performance and support of Nordson supplier selection requirements as well as purchasing related information and data management. Daily purchasing activities, master data maintenance, price info maintenance, PO release and PO delivery follow up. Supplier management, manage supplier delivery, quality performance and cost in accordance with business objectives. Achieve sourcing project for new product development, transfer product, localization, resourcing etc. Optimize supply base for business requirement. Understand the business requirement in term of quality, cost, delivery and technology and develop supplier selection/development criteria. Review engineering drawing, specification, BOM, raw material market trend, manufacture process to generate and develop cost breakdown templates to reflect cost driven. Identify the suitable supplier for certain projects based on business requirement and mass production performance within current supplier base or any other potential supplier if current suppliers can't fulfill the requirement. Be able to develop the long list of potential suppliers and narrow down to the short list according to the criteria. Lead supplier selection process through pre-visit, price benchmarking, supplier audit to ensure selected vendor meets business requirement. Develop, maintain and monitor assigned commodity strategies. Responsible in managing the negotiation process for the assigned commodities and deliver the total cost of ownership. Communicate with Key stakeholders regularly to achieve business goals. Any other reasonable duties required by manager from time to time.
