The Senior Specialist, Program Management function provides support to Program and Portfolio managers with program tasks or managing follow on production programs and new development programs. As such, this program management role provides direction and Integrated Program Teams for the company. This role is also responsible for accomplishing program objectives by supporting the planning and assisting with the evaluation of program activities such as schedule review, production hardware tracking, and leading weekly IPT meetings. This role will require interactions with all core team members including engineering, quality, supply chain management, operations, program finance, and contracts. The Senior Specialist Program Management function is responsible for program budgets, cost reporting, coordination of resources, and customer interface under minimal supervision. In summary, this position is also expected to take a lead role in the execution of specific programs as defined by their manager. We are seeking a highly motivated, solution-oriented, and results driven individual.

  • Directs all phases of programs assigned from inception through completion.
  • Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
  • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Expands the product line with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and identifies and implements solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience and/or directly relevant sustainment experience of proven performance with DOD or USN customer
  • Production/Manufacturing program management experience
  • Program Cost management and cost account management
  • Manufacturing operations experience
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen
  • EVMS experience
  • Highly motivated, solution-oriented, and results driven individual
  • Proven project/program management performance with DOD or USN customer
  • Microsoft Office – Proficiency
  • Proven Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
