About The Position

The Modernization & Modification Group (MMG) Program Finance Organization is currently seeking a Program Financial Analyst to support the financial management, review, and estimating of assigned programs. This role requires an individual who is self-motivated and ready to work in a collaborative team environment. The analyst will partner with program management teams to analyze and understand their financial position. This position will be responsible for monthly customer financial reports, verifying actual cost reporting, providing variance analysis, and supporting monthly closing activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience supporting contractual EVMS programs.
  • Experience with Cobra
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, leadership, and other functions.
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc) in program development and execution.
  • Experience with multiple contract types (CP/FP/T&M).

Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for financial performance of their programs, providing management with an early warning of potential performance issues, identifying risks and offering solutions
  • Guide program financials including development of time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, Earned Value (EV) data compliance, survelliance and reporting, cost accounting and ongoing overseeing of cost and schedule integration
  • Budgeting, cost control and variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management and financial support
  • Development of quarterly EACs; analyze/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Complete (EAC) data
  • Educate and lead financial analysts with organization of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), creation and maintenance of charge numbers
  • Educate and lead financial analysts in monitoring costs and personnel ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective
  • Educate and lead financial analysts with workforce planning, forecasting and reporting
  • Accounting data extraction and reconciliation
  • Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analysis, as required to include customer reporting.
  • Develop and present briefing of program financial status to customer
  • Educate Program Management Office (PMO) and (Control Account Managers) CAMs with internal reports on cost and schedule performance
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to finance professionals
  • Communicates within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices and processes.
  • Provides suggestions and implantation of new process improvement initiatives
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials
