About The Position

Do you have experience assisting with property acquisition, title review, or landowner coordination? Avid Core is seeking a Senior Specialist, Paralegal to support federal real estate acquisition activities in the San Antonio, Texas area. This role will support land acquisition, leasing, and real estate documentation for government-funded projects and will work closely with project managers, attorneys, and client stakeholders. Requirements

  • 5-7 years of paralegal, real estate, or legal support experience (entry-level candidates with strong relevant experience will be considered)
  • Demonstrated experience leading, reviewing, and overseeing legal or real estate documentation prepared by others
  • Strong document management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to review and track legal and real estate documents with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Comfortable reviewing, correcting, and improving others’ work in a constructive way
  • Comfortable working with legal, real estate, and technical documentation
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Support real estate acquisition activities involving purchase, lease, easement, exchange, or donation of property
  • Prepare, review, and organize real estate and legal documentation, including deeds, leases, easements, right-of-entry agreements, and closing packages

  • Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of paralegal work products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior paralegals, including setting expectations, providing feedback, and supporting professional development
  • Assist with task planning, workload coordination, and prioritization for paralegal staff in coordination with project managers
  • Track and maintain parcel, landowner, and property records across multiple projects and geographic areas

  • Coordinate with landowners, attorneys, title companies, surveyors, and government stakeholders
  • Assist with title review, due diligence documentation, and tracking of outstanding legal or property issues
  • Maintain accurate project files, correspondence logs, and document control systems
  • Support landowner communications, including mailings, notices, meeting coordination, and follow-up actions
  • Attend meetings (virtual and in-person), take notes, and prepare summaries, action items, and after-action reports
  • Track schedules, milestones, and deadlines related to real estate acquisition activities
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets, trackers, and reports to support project management and client reporting
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local real estate and acquisition requirements
  • Assist in identifying risks, issues, and process gaps and recommend solutions to improve efficiency
  • Provide general project and administrative support as needed
  • Supervise up to six staff members
