About The Position

Marsh & McLennan Shared Services LLC is seeking candidates for the following full-time position based in the Westlake, TX office (A hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies.): Senior Specialist - IT Systems Engineering We will count on you to: Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical systems. Create, manage, and maintain strategy, standards, roadmaps, and new technologies. Provide advanced design and engineering functions for one or more skillset areas such as server, network (voice and data), messaging/collaboration, mainframe, implementation, architecture, storage/backup, and/or application design. Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and procedures. Train, lead, and mentor engineering support staff and managers in various areas including standards, projects, support issues, design, and overall IT engineering for infrastructure and technology. Create, manage, and maintain departmental policies, processes, and procedures relating to standards, projects, and cross-functional interoperability. Prepare and track budgets, projects, and staffing plans. Support development of solutions and work closely with Project Management Office and stakeholders to provide guidance concerning infrastructure issues. Apply understanding of strategic/global initiatives and infrastructures in communication with stakeholders. Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness. Provide support for hardware and operating system issues. Document operational procedure and hand it off to Operations Group.

Requirements

  • Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the position offered or a related position.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field plus seven (7) years of experience in the position offered or a related position.
  • Must have five (5) years (or seven [7] years with a Bachelor’s) of experience with all of the following:
  • Working with Kubernetes architecture, components, and best practices for cluster management;
  • Utilizing Docker and containerization technologies;
  • Utilizing cloud service providers (AWS, Azure and Google Cloud) and their Kubernetes offerings (including EKS, AKS and GKE);
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools including Jenkins or ArgoCD;
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools including Terraform or Ansible;
  • Networking in Kubernetes, including services, ingress controllers, and network policies;
  • Designing and implementing scalable and resilient Kubernetes architectures;
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex issues in Kubernetes environments.
