About The Position

The Senior Specialist, HR Services (Benefits) role at Mastercard is focused on providing Tier 2 support for employee benefits inquiries across North America and other regions. This position is part of the People Services team within Mastercard's Global Business Services Center, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and expertise in handling complex HR inquiries. The role involves collaboration with benefits vendors, managing benefit administration, and contributing to the HR knowledgebase, all while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Broad knowledge of HR concepts and terminology.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience in Benefit Administration is required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally respond to HR benefits inquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide Tier-2 resolutions to employee queries received via AskPeopleServices.
  • Manage partnerships with benefits vendors and insurance brokers to ensure quality and compliance with SLAs.
  • Administer benefit plans for employees across multiple regions in support of the Global Benefits Team.
  • Validate vendors' bills/invoices and oversee the processing of monthly payments for benefits programs.
  • Ensure timely responses to inquiries while meeting service level expectations.
  • Interact with internal teams to gather necessary information for completing tasks and training others on benefits-related items.
  • Ensure audit compliance by working on weekly discrepancy reports.
  • Manage confidential data in accordance with HIPAA and Mastercard confidentiality requirements.
  • Contribute to the AskHR knowledgebase and develop user-experience documentation.
  • Collaborate with HR teams across regions to ensure effective delivery of HR support and actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for HR inquiries, working with HRIS to implement solutions.
  • Oversee overall benefit administration of plans.
