Job Title: Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer-RF Job Code: 32847 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Schedule: 5/8: Employees work 8 hours per day, 5 days a week Job Description: The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated professionals who are responsible for supporting military communication products from pre-release to obsolescence. As a member of the Product Support Engineering team you will be tasked with investigating a variety of problems including RF/Analog, digital, assembly, SMT and test related. You will collaborate across multifunctional teams to diagnose problems to component level, determining solutions via simulation and experimentation and implementing corrective actions. As new products are launched you will interface with design engineering, assisting with root cause analysis, troubleshooting of prototypes and ensuring a successful launch into full rate production. Typical tasks include: Mitigating component shortages through qualifying alternatives or redesigning circuits and sub-assemblies. Determining design, process, and test improvements to increase test yields and product quality. Working in cross-functional teams to meet manufacturability, testability and other DFx requirements for volume production. Working with design engineering and manufacturing teams to introduce new designs into manufacturing. Working with design engineering to make necessary circuit changes prior to and during the launch of new products. Working to mitigate component obsolescence throughout the product lifecycle. Provide guidance to junior staff. Assisting them as they investigate problems. Leading investigations and coordinating tasks. Working with vendors, Quality and Supply Chain to address material discrepancies. Troubleshooting unit, modules, and boards to the component level.
