About The Position

Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing and sustaining of automated functional test systems that are sold to DoD and international defense customers. The candidate’s primary function will be radio test system development with a heavy emphasis on writing software applications in NI LabVIEW. Essential Functions:

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
NI LabVIEW & TestStand experience
Basic networking (TCP/IP) and Radio/RF communication system experience

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design (OOP/OOD)
Familiarity with software management tools (e.g. SVN/GIT, JIRA)
RF and baseband test and measurement experience. Familiarity with test equipment such as: Spectrum & Network analyzers, Power Meters, DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Audio analyzers

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and debug software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW.
Continuous improvement of measurement algorithms, techniques and reporting to improve quality and reduce overal cost.
Consult with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate measurement techniques.
Participate in the development of new software architectures designed to maximize reuse, reduce development costs, and improve software quality.
Port existing test applications to new platforms.
Support existing orders and support proposals as we continue to grow our test solutions business.
Occasionally support the installation and commissioning of test systems at customer facilities.
Provide technical guidance to early-career engineers
