Job Description: Senior Platform/Product Engineer Position Overview We're seeking a passionate Senior Platform/Product Engineer dedicated to elevating developer experiences and empowering engineering teams across Sun Life.

Requirements

• 7+ years of production-level software development experience
• Strong backend development proficiency:
• Node.js (required)
• TypeScript (required)
• Java (required)
• Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps patterns
• Ability to write clean, efficient code and automation across the full software lifecycle
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions that meet business needs
• Strong communication skills to gather requirements from Sun Life communities and articulate platform vision
• Proven ability to partner with domain SMEs (Delivery Teams, Software Engineers, Security, Cloud/Infrastructure teams)
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on analyzing, designing, and delivering powerful features

• AWS cloud experience
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Security stack familiarity (SonarQube, Snyk, Checkmarx)
