Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or related field and minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field or 7+ years of relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering environment.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contracts.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a portfolio of cross functional projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings and industry specifications.
  • Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred.
  • ACE/CORE/6 Sigma Practitioner/Professional certification.
  • Strong understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to manufacturing operations and drive process improvement to improve the company's quality and delivery signature utilizing quality metrics.
  • Responsible for specific special processes across the value stream including shot peen, sutton barrel, and robotic brushing.
  • Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs/escapes and reduce overall product costs.
  • Perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on non-conforming product for responsible processes using statistical analysis tools.
  • Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through MRL tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram.
  • Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives.
  • Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure validation.
  • Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance.
  • Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.
