We are seeking a space domain expert to support the Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP) / Space Domain Awareness division to perform on-site analysis. This position will require in-office work at the customer site five days a week.

Requirements

TS/SCI w/Poly (Have an existing poly or be willing to submit to a poly)
10+ years’ experience with DoW or commercial SDA systems
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or other technical field with demonstrated experience analyzing and reporting on large datasets
Notional understanding of space domain awareness or space operations, with an interest in the underlying operation of SDA systems
Analysis language skills: Python, MATLAB, R
An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

Master of Science degree in related engineering field
Extensive experience with statistics and statistical modeling (including the use of analysis languages previously mentioned)
Extensive software development experience including DevSecOps tooling; prior experience developing and deploying software on TS/SCI systems
Experience with and deep understanding of statistical estimation and astrodynamics / orbit determination

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site Space Domain Awareness (SDA) analytical support
Perform analysis that informs ongoing studies and force design efforts
Collaborate directly with government sponsors and a diverse contractor team
Execute rapid, quick-turn analytical tasks in support of mission needs
Develop minimally viable prototypes to support analytical findings and concepts
Analyze and evaluate SDA systems-of-systems, including their design and operation
Bring a deep understanding of SDA architectures, capabilities, and operational concepts
Identify novel opportunities and innovative approaches related to SDA
Communicate analytical findings and insights to senior leadership and decision makers
Support efforts that inform senior leaders and acquisition agencies on current and future mission needs
