This role plays a key part in food production, menu execution, catering, and team leadership. The Senior Sous Chef helps ensure high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation while maintaining food safety and cost controls. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys mentoring kitchen teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary degree or certificate (A.O.S. preferred) or equivalent professional experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen leadership experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations strongly preferred
  • Institutional or batch cooking experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food quality, production standards, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and email
  • ServSafe certification strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in the overall management of the culinary department
  • Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and daily food preparation
  • Supervise, train, and support hourly culinary associates
  • Execute daily service and catered events with a focus on quality and presentation
  • Assist with food ordering, inventory, and cost control initiatives
  • Help implement new culinary programs and concepts in partnership with company culinary and marketing teams
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
