The primary function of the Senior Sourcing Specialist is to purchase items in their assigned commodities to meet quality and delivery requirements as well as looking for potential saving opportunities. This individual should possess a background in procurement and materials management with experience in a mechanical production environment and have experience in sourcing: Machining – All types Casing / Fabrications Fabrications - All types Airfoil Geometry blades (Machining, grinding, extrusions, forgings) Balance and Over Speed Testing Contract Services Impeller Manufacturing – (Machining and Fabrications) Coatings, plating, painting and shot peening Tooling manufacturing – Job related. Procurement, Manage Materials Delivery Supplier Quality & Cost Implementation of cost saving strategies Evaluate and maintain supplier scorecards to meet RMS' objectives, policies and procedures Manage non-conformances and supplier chargebacks Perform supplier tooling inventory and reconcile tools that remain on site Initiate supplier improvement meetings to improve quality and manufacturability Attend new order kick off meetings Performs other related company duties as assigned Manage terms and conditions with suppliers Key Success Factors: Purchasing in a mechanical environment / Industrial environment Must be able to read and interpret engineered mechanical drawings Strong organizational, communication and computer skills required Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word Required Know how to create and review contracts JOBBOSS experience a plus, but not required Turbo Machinery, Steam turbines and centrifugal compressor experience, Highly recommended Quality costs aligned with business goals Willingness to "roll-up sleeves" to get the job done vs. delegating up or down the organization General: The above list of activities is not all inclusive but a general representation of the requirements of a RMS Senior Sourcing Specialist. Required Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with QMS principles and ISO 9001 Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Procurement, Quality ISO & Approved Supplier List procedures Contract negotiations & Order placement Supplier Development Strategies Education: Bachelor's degree or higher education in business or related field CPM Certification a plus 10 + years' experience in Purchasing, Materials Management and planning Strong experienced in procuring, expediting and managing contracts and schedules Raw Material, Machining and grinding processes, Fabrications, MRO, Stampings, Engraving, Pipe and fittings as well as many other industrial items.
