Senior Sourcing Specialist
About The Position
About the role: Responsible for assisting with implementing outsourcing strategies and coordinating global outsourcing processes for clinical trials in support of Boston Scientific's businesses. Works collaboratively with functional Subject matter experts in Clinical Sciences to implement short- and long-term outsourcing strategies. Responsible for managing vendor issues and coming up with a resolution plan in close coordination iwth operations and project managers. Assist with vendor contracting which includes managing Clinical AVL. Work Mode: At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at three days per week. Relocation: Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time. VISA: Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with a BA degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced/graduate degree preferred for some disciplines
Responsibilities
- Implement strategies to transition work to contract research organizations to expand clinical research in emerging markets with a focus on India and China.
- Support creation of processes, metrics, and best practices for improved vendor management.
- Manage and drive vendor issues to resolutions and maintain a log.
- Drive implementation of a comprehensive process for Clinical AVL management.
- Responsible for communicating with Clinical Quality regarding vendor needs / issues.
- Help with vendor contracting and research for new vendors.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with both internal and external to department.
- Helps identify project risks and recommends risk mitigation.
- Drives the development of global Clinical strategies utilizing vendor management expertise.
- Provides input into the development and execution (including vendor selection and management) of Sourcing strategies.
- Independently identifies, contributes to, and/or leads vendor management opportunities for improvement in quality.
- Identify and execute NCEP/CAPA.
