About The Position

Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver—The World's Most Experienced Driver™—to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver powers Waymo’s fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states. Waymo's Procurement and Vendor Enablement Office is a diverse, collaborative, and service-oriented group with a mission to efficiently procure indirect goods and services, build supplier relationships, and support outsourcing excellence. In this remote role, the Procurement CoE Program Manager, you will be the operational lead for our "Source-to-Requisition" engine and the primary driver of our sourcing and contracting execution. You will sit at the intersection of business strategy, process optimization, and technology, ensuring that the path from identifying a need to cutting a Purchase Requisition (PR) is seamless, compliant, and data-driven.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Procurement Operations, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Systems, with a specific focus on the "Source-to-Pay" or "Source-to-Contract" lifecycle.
  • Deep Technical Fluency: Expert-level knowledge of SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing modules) and Ironclad (CLM). You understand how to configure upstream sourcing to drive downstream requisitioning efficiency.
  • Data & Analytics Expertise: Proven experience managing Spend Cubes (e.g., SpendHQ, Sievo, or Ariba Spend Analysis). You can translate complex datasets into business narratives.
  • Process Engineering: Demonstrated ability to map complex workflows and optimize them (Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience is a strong plus).
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Experience operating at a Senior Program Manager level, capable of influencing cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, FP&A, Engineering Leadership) to drive process adoption.
  • Operational Rigor: Experience building "No-touch" or "Low-touch" procurement channels (Catalogs, Guided Buying).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hyper-growth technology or automotive environment where speed and compliance must coexist.
  • Experience leading a system implementation or major migration (e.g., legacy ERP to SAP S/4HANA).
  • Strong SQL or Tableau visualization skills to build self-service dashboards for process health monitoring.
  • A background in Project Management (PMP) or Product Management applied to internal business tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Sourcing & Contracting Operations: Serve as the operational lead for the end-to-end sourcing and contracting lifecycle. You will manage the throughput and execution of sourcing events (RFx) and contract generation, ensuring the tactical "machinery" of the deal flow is efficient.
  • Optimize the Source-to-PR Lifecycle: Act as the process owner for the sourcing and requisitioning workflow. You will identify friction points, eliminate manual handoffs, and execute the strategy to automate the user journey for stakeholders across Waymo.
  • Orchestrate System Processes: Serve as the primary business owner for our procurement tech stack processes, specifically within SAP Ariba and Ironclad. You will drive system integration improvements, ensuring contract metadata flows seamlessly into purchasing execution.
  • Drive Spend Intelligence: Manage the Spend Cube operations. You will maintain data taxonomy and integrity, ensuring that our sourcing activities translate into clean, actionable data for category managers and finance leaders.
  • Lead Process Transformation: Analyze process performance metrics (cycle times, catalog adoption, touchless PRs) to design and implement continuous improvement initiatives. You will facilitate cross-functional workshops with Legal, Finance, and Procurement to streamline approvals.
  • Manage Change & Governance: Maintain and govern the policies that control how Waymo buys. You will lead change management efforts for new tool rollouts, ensuring high adoption rates and user satisfaction across the engineering and business teams.

Benefits

  • Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
