The Ideal Candidate Are you a strategic sourcing leader with deep expertise in global manufacturing and a passion for quality, innovation, and sustainability? Johnston & Murphy is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to drive our global procurement strategy and ensure excellence across our footwear production. What You'll Do Lead sourcing initiatives across a diverse vendor base to meet goals for quality, cost, and delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers and factories. Ensure compliance with Genesco policies, legal standards, and CSR requirements. Support costing and production teams with market insights and technical expertise. Oversee production cycles, shipping schedules, and component flow to meet delivery timelines. Manage factory audits, quality control, and third-party supervision teams. Represent J&M on Genesco’s ESG panel, helping shape sustainability policies. Continuously evaluate and improve sourcing processes and vendor performance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7–10 years of global sourcing/manufacturing experience, ideally in footwear.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and international markets.
  • Proven ability to lead in multicultural environments and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel (~25%) to maintain strong vendor relationships.
