The Procurement Organization includes a staff of more than three hundred sourcing managers, buyers, and analysts. Our mission is to deliver cost effective and valued procurement services through strategic, diverse, and sustainable business solutions. Our work requires close integration with all lines of business, finance, and our suppliers. The Procurement Excellence Center (PEC) is a strategic function dedicated to driving procurement transformation, operational efficiency, and value creation across the organization. Within the Procurement organization, the PEC establishes best practices, standardizes processes, and leverages advanced analytics and market intelligence to enable data-driven decision-making. The PEC collaborates with all Procurement teams to enhance capabilities, improve performance, and optimize costs. Key focus areas include market intelligence and analytics, digital procurement transformation, risk management, supplier relationship management, governance, and capability development.

  • Clearly articulates recommendations and findings in both written and oral communications both internally and externally and to functional management
  • Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes selecting from various complex variables
  • Examines alternate solutions to a problem, effectively troubleshoots various issues and analysis, and provides findings and recommendations for internal clients and external stakeholders
  • Performs analysis, benchmarking studies, spend analysis, and needs assessment in support of the development of portfolio and category strategies
  • Leads process in requirement gathering, creation, implementation, and management of dashboards driving effective and clear visual management
  • Serves as a liaison between Procurement and other departments (finance, business units) in support of Procurement analysis, KPIs, and data requests.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Sociology, Policy, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Requires a minimum of four years of job-related experience
  • Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Public Policy, Sociology, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with large data sets
  • Six years of job-related experience
  • Experience in Procurement and Sourcing, 3-4 yrs
  • CPSM Certified
  • LSS Certified
  • Eligible to participate in PG&E's discretionary incentive compensation programs
