About The Position

About Atreides Atreides helps organisations transform complex datasets, autonomous systems and sensors into better operational tools. We provide high-fidelity data solutions, cloud compute and secure communication networks that enable customers to collect data and derive insights at the speed of relevance. We are a fast-moving, high-performance startup with teams across Canada, the UK, the US and Australia. We value a diverse team and believe inclusion drives better performance. We trust our team with autonomy, believing it leads to better results and job satisfaction. With a mission-driven mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, we are building something new and helping unlock the power of data and technology to make the world safer, stronger and more prosperous. Our team combines deep technical expertise with operational experience. We come from backgrounds in military operations, intelligence, law enforcement, cybersecurity and large multinationals. We are obsessed with building products that change how governments and global organisations protect themselves from adversaries and external threats. Why Now? This is an exciting time to join Atreides. We have recently secured major programme wins with European Defence customers and are building out our US DoD presence to deliver cloud infrastructure at scale. You will be joining at a pivotal growth stage with the opportunity to shape how we operate, influence technical direction, and grow with the company. The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure data and analytics solutions supporting U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers. In this senior role, you will act as a technical authority across customer engagements, guiding architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and ensuring mission requirements are translated into robust, deployable solutions. You will work closely with customers, engineering teams, product leadership, and business development to design architectures that support intelligence operations, threat analysis, and operational decision-making in highly constrained and secure environments. What Success Looks Like Within the first six months, you will have designed and delivered one or more end-to-end data architectures supporting customer mission workflows, including data ingestion, analytics, and delivery. You will be a trusted technical advisor to both internal teams and government stakeholders. By twelve months, you will be recognized as a senior technical authority for data and analytics architecture across multiple defense or intelligence programs, influencing product direction, mentoring other architects, and shaping how new data sources and capabilities are integrated into production environments.

Requirements

  • Significant experience designing and delivering big data and analytics solutions in support of U.S. government, defense, or intelligence customers.
  • Demonstrated expertise with large-scale data pipelines and distributed data platforms, including cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
  • Strong background in analytics, intelligence workflows, and data transformation, particularly in operational or mission-focused contexts.
  • Experience integrating commercial data sources (OSINT, PAI, financial, network, geospatial, or similar) with government data holdings.
  • Proven ability to operate as a customer-facing technical leader, communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting intelligence operations, intelligence analysis, or military operations, translated into commercial or government solutions delivery.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data tooling (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Palantir, distributed object storage, SQL/Python-based analytics).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (or eligibility)
  • Cloud Solutions Architect or equivalent demonstrated experience (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect)

  • Design, implement, and oversee end-to-end data pipelines, including ingestion, normalization, enrichment, transformation, and delivery of data products to customers.
  • Architect analytic workflows that transform commercially available data into mission-relevant intelligence and operational insights.
  • Design and implement solutions that fuse commercially available data with government-provided and government-procured datasets to support intelligence analysis, targeting, and threat assessment.
  • Evaluate, onboard, and integrate new commercial and government data sources, including technical due diligence, data quality assessment, and architectural impact analysis.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to translate operational and intelligence requirements into scalable technical architectures and analytics solutions.
  • Act as the technical authority during solution design reviews, customer briefings, and architecture decision-making forums.
  • Support pre-sales and capture activities, including technical solution development, RFI/RFP responses, Statements of Work, and customer demonstrations.
  • Mentor and guide engineers and junior architects, establishing best practices for data architecture, analytics workflows, and secure system design.
  • Ensure solutions meet DoD and Intelligence Community security, compliance, and operational requirements, including classified, hybrid, and air-gapped environments.
