About The Position

Dark Wolf is looking for a Senior Solution Architect. Dark Wolf’s Google Cloud Solutions Architects define the technical vision and architecture for complex, authorized cloud implementations in the U.S. Public Sector. You will serve as a domain expert, bridging the gap between infrastructure, software, and data. You will design holistic, ATO-ready solutions that empower our customers to deploy software delivery pipelines, data and AI workloads, and mission enablement tools rapidly and securely. You will act as a key technical leader, influencing customer direction and integrating capabilities across all Dark Wolf practice areas.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, software engineering, or systems architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering cloud solutions for Government customers.
  • Proven track record of serving as a technical lead on large programs, influencing customer technical direction with deep domain understanding.
  • Deep expertise in Google Cloud core services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC) and advanced data services (BigQuery, Cloud SQL).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to deploy modular, compliant, and reusable architecture.
  • Strong understanding of how to architect for RMF/FedRAMP constraints (e.g., boundary protection, FIPS encryption, logging architectures) within a functional solution.
  • Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps principles and how to architect infrastructure that supports modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to brief executive-level stakeholders (e.g., O-6, GS-15, SES) and translate complex technical risks into mission impact.
  • Experience leading proposal technical volumes and delivering oral presentations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • US Citizenship and security clearance eligibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or other professional Google certification
  • Experience integrating mission applications, AI/ML services (Vertex AI), modern data lakehouse architectures, or agentic solutions into authorized environments.
  • Graduate degree in computer science or a related field.
  • U.S. Federal Government Secret or Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Practice Solution Architecture: Design and implement authorized Google Cloud solutions that support the full spectrum of Dark Wolf capabilities: Software Delivery and Cloud, Data and AI, Cybersecurity, and Mission Enablement.
  • Architect scalable mission solutions and platforms that enable Agile software teams to deploy code rapidly while maintaining rigorous compliance standards.
  • Translate operational mission needs into resilient and useful cloud solutions running on Google Cloud.
  • Authorized Solution Design: Lead the design of born-authorized cloud environments that inherently meet federal compliance standards (FedRAMP, IL4/IL5) without sacrificing usability.
  • Architect infrastructure that enables authorization (using Assured Workloads, organization policy constraints, and secure IaC baselines) rather than simply operating security tools.
  • Ensure all architectures support continuous authorization strategies, integrating automated compliance checks into the CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Technical Strategy & Growth: Contribute to technical solutioning for proposals (RFPs/RFIs) and lead technical orals, effectively communicating how Dark Wolf’s integrated approach solves complex mission challenges.
  • Demonstrate domain mastery through thought leadership, including speaking engagements, white papers, and industry conference participation.
  • Anticipate the evolution of the cloud domain and advise customers on how emerging technologies (e.g., Generative AI on GCP) will impact their future mission roadmap.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership on large, multi-faceted programs, delegating tasks and reviewing designs to ensure alignment with customer first values.
  • Develop a coaching tree of domain-focused employees, guiding internal staff to deepen their skills in GCP, IaC, and authorized platform design.
  • Develop and promote firm-wide training priorities relevant to the GCD domain.
