About The Position

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Senior Solutions Architect within the Strategic Accounts segment, you are responsible for partnering with our most valuable customers to design cloud architectures utilizing AWS services. In this role, you will help our customers solve business challenges such as rapidly releasing products/services to the market or building an elastic, scalable, cost optimized application. You will engage with product owners to influence product direction and help our customers tap into new markets by utilizing AWS Services. You will also look for patterns and trends that can be broadly applied across an industry segment or a set of customers that can help accelerate innovation. You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build knowledge and broad use of AWS. You will also need to be adept at interacting, communicating and partnering with other teams within AWS such as services teams, marketing, and professional services, as well as representing your team to executive management. For this role, we are looking for folks who have technical breadth complimented by technical depth in AI/ML Frameworks, or MLOps, business aptitude, and the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform and services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for engaging with Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, and VPs. Requirements

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
  • 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study or 12+ years of related work experience
  • Technical breadth complimented by technical depth in AI/ML Frameworks, or MLOps, business aptitude, and the ability to lead in-depth technology discussions, articulating the business value of the AWS platform and services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for engaging with Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, and VPs.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years design & implementation experience with large distributed applications
  • 5+ years of experience in core disciplines (E.g. compute, networking, storage, security, database architecture)
  • Professional experience architecting, operating cloud-based solutions
  • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise
  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
  • Experience in technology/software sales or pre-sales consulting
