About The Position

In the role of Sr. Solutions Architect, HR Applications you will be responsible for identifying, designing, and implementing HR Technology solutions including Workday. You will provide oversight of the general health of the HR system landscape while considering the long-term vision of the product and organizational needs. You will be defining the vision and roadmap, leading the prioritization of initiatives, and overseeing the solution architecture and implementation of IT applications supporting the end to end HR processes and integrations to upstream and downstream systems. The right candidate for this role will have significant experience aligning desired business outcomes to a roadmap of IT and Business initiatives and communicating the plan and the achievement of those outcomes to business and IT management. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have deep knowledge of HR processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the conception and design of a scalable architecture that enhances productivity and efficiency for HR teams.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting HR business applications.
  • 5+ years of Workday solution design and implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR Core in Workday and the intramodular functioning of the Workday HCM suite including reporting and security.
  • Deep technical knowledge building complex integrations from and to Workday to upstream and downstream systems such as Learning, Payroll, Travel & Expense etc.
  • Ability to influence business teams, including management, in the selection and design of technology solutions as well as implementation and support approaches.
  • Successful track record working on complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent relational and communication skills, exceptional statistical skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Ability to think proactively and identify solutions to drive business needs.
  • Must have experience in cross platform integrations.
  • Exceptional project and program management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural consultation across the HR Systems landscape which includes Workday HCM, Oracle Fusion, Smart recruiter, SAP-HR, etc.
  • Drive towards Workday best practices for system architecture, design, and build across the 'Hire to Retire' ecosystem and integrated enterprise business systems to maximize the value of the platform.
  • Assess the use of existing and emerging technologies in supporting the HR organization goals.
  • Develop a long-term business application roadmap that addresses end-to-end business capability needs with input from stakeholders and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the design of all system changes in the area, ensuring we implement scalable, future-proof solutions.
  • Drive the prioritization of projects and enhancements in the area.
  • Build and manage relationships with top people across People and IT teams to influence and advise the best use of Workday out-of-the-box tools and features.
  • Work in partnership with the business to create business cases and define ROI for major initiatives.
  • Partner with IT delivery teams by providing architectural guidance to ensure successful implementations which can scale as the organization grows.
  • Partner with the Enterprise Analytics team in designing and developing insights capability for HR.
  • Engage with system and process experts to perform thorough impact analysis to all linked systems with the big picture in mind.
  • Prepare executive level presentations and proposals as well as detailed requirement and design documentation.
  • Proactively seek out new system features and capabilities to address HR challenges.
