About The Position

As a Senior Solutions Architect, Growth, you will report to the Director of Business Development and be responsible for growing CGS’ IT capabilities by designing and describing complex information technology solutions in support of government customer’s needs. You will lead or support business development activities to identify and win new work and further CGS’s existing suite of IT capabilities. CGS works with a broad array of clients and this individual will need to have strong technical capabilities, versatile and passionate approach, and eager to play an active role in business development. You’ll work closely with program managers, engineers, business developers, and government stakeholders to shape architectures that are secure, compliant, and mission aligned. This role is central to our business development efforts, technical strategy, and thought leadership and requires a comprehensive understanding of various technologies and strong communication skills to work effectively with clients and technical teams. Work Model: Remote.

Requirements

  • Self-starter, team player.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, with federal and DoD exposure.
  • 1 or more certifications: AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP, Security+, IAT, etc.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proven experience supporting DoD or IC programs (e.g., INSCOM, AF, DIA, NSA, Army Futures Command).
  • Deep familiarity and experiences leading or supporting business development actions (e.g. lead SA, BD, etc).
  • Experience working IT Solutions: Hybrid cloud, enterprise modernization, DevSecOps, zero trust architecture.
  • Experience with cybersecurity Agile, DevSecOps, and/or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with classified environments and secure enclave design.
  • Strong technical writing and presentation skills for proposals and white paper.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Active Secret (Top-Secret clearance preferred).
  • Familiarity with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Splunk, and Palantir.
  • Prior work with federal integrators or prime contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Growth team to identify and mature CGS’s go-to-market strategy and capabilities for cloud, data, and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Develop emerging IT capabilities for CGS to take to market.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop innovative solutions in support of proposal and business development activities.
  • Lead technical strategy for proposals, RFPs, and capture efforts targeting DoD and IC clients.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and related events.
  • Develop thoughtware in support of strategic growth goals.
  • Author technical white papers and solution briefs that demonstrate innovation and compliance.
  • Identify gaps in current clients' technology systems and formulating improved software and hardware applications.
  • Support the implementation of proposal solutions upon award.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to enhance current customers systems/CGS capabilities.
  • Quickly grasp technical client requirements and articulate a matching solution architecture.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies (advanced cyber operations, AI/ML, zero trust, edge computing) for mission applicability.
