Job Description: This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Position Summary: Coming from a technical background, you will have a deep understanding of network technologies and an appreciation of how they come together to serve our lines of business. You will have led an Operations function previously and enjoy the fast-paced, high stakes thrill of supporting a highly critical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Experience in large enterprise or financial institutions within multi-vendor environments.
  • Deep understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management frameworks.
  • Strong grasp of networking principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to distill complex technical issues into clear executive summaries.
  • Proven business partnership skills; adept at building relationships and influencing stakeholders across the organization.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours to support a global operating model.
  • Strong analytical mindset; able to identify gaps, challenge constructively, and drive risk remediation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory risk management in Technology and Information Security.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; seeks to eliminate manual processes and enhance efficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with other technologies, such as Firewall, Proxy, DDI, Load Balancing, AAA preferred.
  • Relevant Industry certifications in Network Technologies.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • ITIL Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides solution design feedback to Solution II, Development Operations II, and Site Reliability Engineers and manages solution delivery as relevant to teams
  • Facilitates solution-driven discussions, leads the design of complex architectural components, and finds creative solutions using knowledge of the domain and operational constraints
  • Leads rapid shaping of infrastructure and application architecture to solve for emerging business requirements, ensuring design is flexible and modular
  • Designs solutions that are compliant all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices, and standards
  • Manages the application performance in production (application health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews)
  • Participates in various steering committees for technical and infrastructure service domains
  • You will be reporting to the Head of Global NOC, working closely with him on the strategic evolution of the Global Network Operations Transformation thru SRE/NRE practices with the focus on using data to drive strategic improvements.
  • You will be part of a global team leading our Americas based NOC team and partnering with your peers in the UK, US, and IN to provide unrivalled and uninterrupted network support for Bank of America globally.
  • Be the leadership escalation point for all Network issues, managing stakeholder expectations and shielding our engineers from the wrath of the business as they restore service.
  • Focus on the reduction of Mean Time to Detect, Mean Time to Engage and Mean time to restore through the development of people, processes, and tools.
  • Work closely with cross-functional internal support groups and external service providers to identify, resolve, or coordinate the resolution of network incidents.
  • Effectively communicate issues and incidents to all levels of the organization including the senior management and lines of business as required.
  • Regularly perform a governance role with the strategic partners, review performance, service levels, provide timely feedback and drive service improvement plans.
  • Driving continuous improvement of operational procedures, find opportunities for automation of manual tasks.
