As a Senior Solution Architect - Salesforce within PNC's Automation and Platform organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland/Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ. The Salesforce Platform Architect is the platform-wide technical leader responsible for the architecture, governance, and evolution of the Salesforce ecosystem. This role defines and enforces standards for scalable solution design, integration patterns, data strategy, security, DevOps, and release readiness, partnering closely with product teams, enterprise architecture, security, and delivery crews to ensure the platform remains trusted, easy to operate, and adaptable as business needs evolve. This position is typically a senior individual contributor role focused on platform architecture guidance/governance (distinct from project-specific functional feature design) around Salesforce platform and in general. The Senior Solution Architect provides expertise to the solution architecture team and other IT staff on software designs, system architecture, and solution-oriented technologies. They communicate with clients, analyze business requirements and processes, make recommendations, and lead in shaping future plans in solution architecture. The position also oversees solution architecture project outcomes, including hardware and software design, ensuring each project phase meets overall requirements. PNC employees are expected to be customer-focused, knowledgeable of values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations, and adept at managing risk by assessing and effectively managing all risks associated with business objectives and activities to ensure adherence to PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • Appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • University / college degree (Bachelor's).
  • Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops solution architecture and resolves complex issues in a variety of projects through the implementation of requirements analysis, expertise support and project supervision.
