About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to be based in Dallas or Houston, Texas. This role has in office requirements, with a hybrid work schedule. As a Senior Solution Architect - Operational AI, you will design and deliver automation and AI-enabled solutions that streamline enterprise workflows, enhance accuracy, and reduce manual effort. You will translate process maps, requirements, and business rules into solution designs that combine automation workflows, API integrations, and AI inference services. This role works closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and production-ready.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university
• 8+ years integration + workflow solution design
• Experience with APIs, eventing, RPA, or workflow orchestration
• Exposure to LLM or retrieval-based solutions
• Able to design with security, versioning, observability, runbooks
• Hands-on with at least 2 of: UiPath / Automation Anywhere Azure Functions / Logic Apps / Power Automate AWS Lambda / Step Functions / Bedrock Moveworks / Teams / Slack / Web components
• Comfortable with pipelines, containers, secrets, testing frameworks
• Strong API and connector development experience

Responsibilities

• Architect end-to-end solutions that combine automation, workflows, and AI
• Translate process maps and requirements into scalable technical architecture
• Define integration patterns with ERP, HRIS, ITSM, and SaaS platforms
• Ensure production readiness with logging, observability, SLAs, runbooks
• Lead cross-functional PODs during delivery and testing
