This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin’s mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers you will lead planning and execution for new solar array programs, turning inbound requests into clear scope, and resourced, time‑phased plans. You will own the integrated master schedule and critical path, drive requirements flowdown and verification, manage risks and issues, and synchronize cross‑functional teams and suppliers through reviews, test campaigns, and configuration control. You will track cost and performance, publish status and decision logs, and keep the program’s artifacts and communications tight—ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery as part of a fast‑moving, geographically distributed R&D team. Requirements

  • BS in engineering or related technical field
  • 8–10+ years program/project management in aerospace
  • Experience with IMS ownership (MS Project/Primavera or similar), critical path analysis
  • Proficient with requirements flowdown/V&V
  • Understanding of risk management
  • Experience with supplier schedule/deliverable management; alignment of technical reviews and acceptances
  • Familiarity with configuration control & change management
  • Past responsibility for budget and EVM monitoring/reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Past space solar array experience is strongly preferred
  • MS in engineering or MBA; PMP certified; 10–12+ years leading space hardware programs
  • Familiarity with Confluence/JIRA
  • Experience coordinating test campaigns (TVAC/vibe/shock/radiation/AO/UV)
  • Experience with executive‑level status, escalation, and decision tracking
  • Highly proficient in DOORS/Jama

Responsibilities

  • Intake, scope, and prioritize solar array development requests
  • Serve as primary interface between Solar Center of Excellence and program leads
  • Facilitate regular reviews
  • Communicate status/risks/decisions, and track deliverable closure
  • Build and maintain integrated master schedule and critical path
  • Manage configuration control and change processes
  • Track requirements flowdown, V&V, risks/issues, and mitigation plans across design, supplier, and test activities
  • Plan and coordinate design reviews and test campaigns
  • Monitor budget, labor, and cost/margin performance; escalate blockers and decision needs
  • Create and maintain project dashboards
