About the position

Elekta is seeking a Senior Verification Engineer to join our team, dedicated to improving and saving lives through advanced technology in cancer care. This role involves testing system level requirements, including interoperability, security, and verification of deployment and installation. The Senior Verification Engineer will be responsible for owning the System Verification Plan and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements in a regulated environment. The position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge medical advancements and contribute to a mission that impacts patients and healthcare professionals worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Own the System Verification Plan as part of the Verification Team.
  • Co-own the integration plan with PMO, LSS OIS Engineering Management, and OIS Architecture.
  • Collaborate with OIS Architecture & V&V stakeholders to produce Impact Analysis reports.
  • Verify key system requirements including compliance verification and interface testing.
  • Ensure interoperability is verified to defined interfaces and/or nearest neighbors.
  • Maintain a current, working knowledge of technical and quality requirements.
  • Comply with Quality Management System requirements in a regulated environment.
  • Participate in activities for improving engineering practices and quality system processes.
  • Guide teams and develop strategies for testing and test documentation.
  • Develop and use automated test tools and practices; partner with development engineers for design-for-test software.
  • Participate in design discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
  • Ability to lead testing activities and engage with cross-functional team members.
  • Knowledge of medical software systems including electronic health records and radiotherapy planning.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and scaled Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of the V-Model development process.
  • Knowledge of disciplined methods in software design, development, debugging, and testing.
  • Understanding of quality system requirements and compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Listening skills to support teams in problem identification and decision making.
  • Proficiency in reading, speaking, writing, and comprehending the English language.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building test automation solutions and improving testing effectiveness.
  • Experience with web, mobile, and desktop application test automation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of testing software in a regulated environment.
