About The Position

Quest Global delivers world-class end-to-end engineering solutions by leveraging our deep industry knowledge and digital expertise. By bringing together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals and their areas of expertise, we are able to solve problems better, faster. This multi-dimensional approach enables us to solve the most critical and large-scale challenges across the aerospace & defense, automotive, energy, hi-tech, healthcare, medical devices, rail and semiconductor industries. We are looking for humble geniuses, who believe that engineering has the potential to make the impossible possible; innovators, who are not only inspired by technology and innovation, but also perpetually driven to design, develop, and test as a trusted partner for Fortune 500 customers. As a team of remarkably diverse engineers, we recognize that what we are really engineering is a brighter future for us all. If you want to contribute to meaningful work and be part of an organization that truly believes when you win, we all win, and when you fail, we all learn, then we're eager to hear from you. The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills. Purpose Become the architect of leverage. Lead the design and creation of intelligent engineering tools that redefine how 1,000+ global engineers work—transforming friction heavy processes into automated, intuitive, AI enhanced systems that deliver 5× productivity, accelerate quality, and create step change operational advantage. These tools will become the daily operational backbone of the global Controls Alliance. This is not a maintenance job — it is a high-impact innovation engine , responsible for delivering the tools that power global energy transformation. What You Will Lead Architect the 5× Engineering Productivity Ecosystem: smart document comparison, system configurators and model driven design tools, automated logic validators, engineering copilots and AI assistants, workflow/governance automation engines. Deliver a composable, extensible tooling platform with shared services, APIs, and UI components for reuse across domains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years designing and building complex, scalable, missioncritical tools or platforms.
  • Expertise in Python, C#, TypeScript/Node, and APIfirst architectures; Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, Docker/Kubernetes, cloudnative patterns.
  • Experience designing plugin/eventdriven platforms and domaindriven service boundaries; contract testing and API SLAs/SLOs.
  • Handson with vector databases and hybrid search (e.g., pg vector/Azure AI Search), embedding pipelines, and AI evaluation practices.
  • Delivered software in secure/hybrid/airgapped environments with Kubernetes/GitOps and DevSecOps controls (SBOM, signing, SAST/DAST).
  • Demonstrated success replacing manual workflows with automation; ability to lead distributed development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design enterprise grade tools that automate high effort workflows and deliver measurable 5× cycle time reduction.
  • Build intelligent systems blending rules engines, workflow orchestration, and copilot integration with RAG components (hybrid search, vector stores, embedding/chunking pipelines), with runtime guardrails for accuracy, privacy, and safety.
  • Define a plugin based, event driven architecture with clear domain boundaries and contract tested APIs to enable rapid composition, upgradeability, and reuse; set API SLAs/SLOs and compatibility guarantees; maintain ADRs and contribute to the Architecture Review cadence.
  • Lead from the front: own sprint direction, code architecture, modular design, API boundaries, and extensibility patterns; orchestrate rapid POCs and guide teams from prototype to scale.
  • Establish evaluation harnesses and offline benchmarks for AI assisted features; implement prompt/version management and cost/performance monitoring.
  • Define DevSecOps pipelines with supply chain security (SBOMs, signed artifacts, SAST/DAST, GitOps); support hybrid/air gapped deployments on Kubernetes.
  • Drive productization: user discovery and usability testing; define release criteria; own reliability with SLOs/error budgets and full stack observability (Open Telemetry/App Insights dashboards).
  • Mentor and grow talent across U.S. and India; scale via inner source components, playbooks, and a strong code review culture.
