We are seeking Test Engineer to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit located a stone’s throw from seaside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to execution of test plans for Linux & VxWorks software development efforts, hardware & software integration efforts, and test planning and development. The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi-disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline and 5 years of experience or MS grad with degree and 2 years of experience.
  • An active DoD secret clearance
  • Test execution experience in software environments, and documentation of test results
  • Experience with test tracking software tools.
  • Position may require some amount of overnight travel.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Travel up to 10 % to 15%

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and knowledge of software development in C
  • Experience working with embedded systems
  • Experience with Atlassian toolset (i.e. Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience in QA or configuration management

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs
  • Perform testing of both HW and SW systems, isolate failures, and propose solutions
  • Interface with DoD clients executing formal sell-off test events and integration test periods
  • Work closely with development teams when bugs are identified to track and resolve issues
  • Requirements tracking and verification
