We are seeking Test Engineer to join our Physical Sciences & Systems business unit located a stone’s throw from seaside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to execution of test plans for Linux & VxWorks software development efforts, hardware & software integration efforts, and test planning and development. The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi-disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed.

Requirements

BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline and 5 years of experience or MS grad with degree and 2 years of experience.
An active DoD secret clearance
Test execution experience in software environments, and documentation of test results
Experience with test tracking software tools.
Position may require some amount of overnight travel.
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
Travel up to 10 % to 15%

Nice To Haves

Experience and knowledge of software development in C
Experience working with embedded systems
Experience with Atlassian toolset (i.e. Jira and Confluence)
Experience in QA or configuration management

Responsibilities

Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs
Perform testing of both HW and SW systems, isolate failures, and propose solutions
Interface with DoD clients executing formal sell-off test events and integration test periods
Work closely with development teams when bugs are identified to track and resolve issues
