Senior Software Quality Specialist Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Global Services is seeking a Senior Software Quality Specialist (Quality Systems Specialist) to support our Digital Services business. As part of a global quality organization, you will provide end-to-end quality management guidance to leaders, business units, and cross-functional teams. Your primary responsibilities will draw on deep knowledge of the software quality discipline to ensure requirements, project plans, test procedures, and results meet established software quality standards. A successful candidate will have proven quality management experience in a services delivery or software business, ideally in the aviation industry, along with strong expertise in internal auditing and process conformance oversight.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working with software development, DO-200 aeronautical data production tools, or within a software quality assurance role
  • 10+ years of experience applying process improvement and problem-solving methodologies (root cause analysis, CAPA)
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate technical and compliance concepts to leadership and technical teams
  • Demonstrated ability to perform audits and generate actionable findings and corrective action plans.

Nice To Haves

  • AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is highly desired
  • Experience working with RTCA DO-200/ED-76 and AC 20-153 is highly desired
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ CQA or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and refinement of new work practices, techniques, and quality standards; recognized as a go-to expert within the Quality organization
  • Plan and execute software and system level audits to determine configuration assurance and compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100), aviation regulations, and customer requirements
  • Develop and deliver tailored training, coaching, and guidance on audits, root cause analysis, CAPA, continuous improvement, and quality management principles
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, implement, and maintain meaningful quality metrics and dashboards that enable data-driven decisions and measure process health
  • Design and implement innovative solutions for complex quality problems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements
  • Advise and collaborate with senior leadership to design and deploy process improvements that affect multiple teams and locations, driving measurable operational gains
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, setting objectives and selecting approaches while ensuring consistent, compliant outcomes across assignments
  • Continuously expand your expertise in software quality and best practices to strengthen organizational capability
