About The Position

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer at ModMed, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative healthcare technology solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies to validate our software products, contributing to a seamless and reliable user experience for our clients!

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in designing and executing test cases for complex web and/or mobile applications.
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate code generation, automate boilerplate reduction, and streamline debugging workflows.
Proven ability to leverage LLMs generate comprehensive documentation and automated tests.
Solid understanding of SQL and database testing.
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the healthcare technology industry is a plus.
Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement robust test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications, adhering to established quality assurance standards and methodologies.
Execute manual and automated tests across various platforms and environments, including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate bug tracking systems, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to deployment and post-release support.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure testability of features.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
Develop and maintain automated test suites, leveraging industry-standard tools and frameworks.
Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and propose preventative measures.
Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in software quality assurance.
