About The Position

As a Senior Software Quality Engineer at ModMed, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative healthcare technology solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test strategies to validate our software products, contributing to a seamless and reliable user experience for our clients!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing test cases for complex web and/or mobile applications.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate code generation, automate boilerplate reduction, and streamline debugging workflows.
  • Proven ability to leverage LLMs generate comprehensive documentation and automated tests.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and database testing.
  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the healthcare technology industry is a plus.
  • Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications, adhering to established quality assurance standards and methodologies.
  • Execute manual and automated tests across various platforms and environments, including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate bug tracking systems, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and design to deployment and post-release support.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure testability of features.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites, leveraging industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and propose preventative measures.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in software quality assurance.
