POSITION SUMMARY The Sr Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for testing and supporting a variety of applications as part of an expanding application development team. DESCRIPTION Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Responsible for design, construction, execution of appropriate comprehensive test cases, verifying feature set and functionality and identifying defects through systematic testing of the project. Execution & ownership of automated Unit Test suites during QA Regression. Performs a variety of complicated testing related tasks including proper accounting for non-functional requirements in test plans. Follow and improve Shellpoint Mortgage enterprise best practices and testing standards. Create and maintain necessary and appropriate technical documentation for project-based test results. Will provide consultation on complex projects and technical solutions as directed to project, development and testing teams. Shares knowledge and mentors other QA staff on the team Conduct and share research on emerging SQA testing products and processes to enable and support constant improvement. Participate in achieving company performance goals. Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management. Take part in continuous training in company policies/procedures and industry regulations. Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others. Performs related duties as assigned by management. Qualifications and Education Requirements Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent combination of education. 10+ years’ experience. Experience with Azure DevOps as a project lifecycle management and defect tracking tool. Experience with agile methodologies a plus. Experience with Outsystems or other low-code platforms a plus. Outsystems, easier, Data training will be provided Ensures 100% of the user story is accomplished, even if that differs from the Developers perspective. Always thinking like the end-user/business user. Mature & own new Production issues in a timely manner & properly hand off the defect to Developers. Experience with testing applications and code done with the following languages and using below concepts. C# .NET MS SQL Server Relational Database Transact SQL Language Triggers and Stored Procedures ASP.NET Web development HTML DHTML JavaScript Experience testing APIs & web services via Postman XML Multi-Threaded Development JSON Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Critical Thinking & Awareness Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements Possess a “test to break” attitude toward testing An “always on” mindset with regard to Negative testing Strong communication skills. Strong understanding of relational databases, distributed architecture, and Internet/Intranet concepts Expert in software development testing. Demonstrates experience in a variety of the field's concepts and practices. Fully understands software development lifecycle and experience with a variety approaches to software testing. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to conduct research into testing issues, standards and products as required. Ability to present ideas and designs clearly to variety of audiences. Excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with agile methodologies a plus. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Working on-site at assigned office location. Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership. Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand. Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations. Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time. Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls. Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
