Responsibilities

  • Perform the role of a product owner in a scrum-based software engineering organization
  • Organize, prioritize, and assess the work required for the scrum teams enabling the product development lifecycle
  • Lead and coach scrum master(s) and technical lead(s) on backlog and spring grooming
  • Develop user stories and acceptance criteria, always looking for opportunities to optimize the value of the product
  • Collaborate with Product Management on product roadmap
  • Drive ongoing improvements and efficiencies in product health, operational practices, tools and processes
  • Ensure code is testable through participation in design reviews and code walkthroughs
  • Advocate for the use of test automation tools and techniques
  • Ensure that the project team understands testing process and error documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in agile environment
  • Experience working in a software and/or hardware development environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical aptitude
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver
  • Detail oriented with a strong focus on quality
  • Ability to discuss technical concepts with development team

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands on experience in installation, configuration and support of enterprise software
  • Experience with POS retail software, specifically RPOS and Storepoint
  • Experience with SCRUM methodology
  • Experience with Atlassian toolset (Confluence, Jira)
