Rockstar Games is seeking a senior for our Software Engineering Support team. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
  • Excellent communication skills as a core member of an internationally based team, with a proven ability to develop and maintain good relations and communicate with team members at all levels.
  • Experience with performance monitoring, logging and error tracking software.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with shared code and source control.
  • Exposure to modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React and C#.
  • Must be inquisitive, self-driven and collaborative with a solid work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with TeamCity or other build management tools.
  • Knowledge of Rockstar’s game titles and a passion for playing video games.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively diagnose and troubleshoot problems and escalate these within the teams you support. This may include fixing issues as appropriate.
  • Add accurate context and reproduction steps to new and existing bug reports.
  • Work with software engineers and QA to develop test plans to ensure projects are stable and have appropriate automated test coverage.
  • Handle deployments and follow-up issues and test failures.
  • Help teams improve observability, monitoring and debuggability of their products.
  • Maintain robust documentation on processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge that can be used to guide and mentor juniors.
