About The Position

Labcorp genetics (formerly Invitae) is looking for a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead the newly formed Patient & Provider Experiences team. This team owns the experiences on invitae.com that patients and providers rely on. You'll guide engineers across both frontend and backend systems so comfort and experience in both is essential. A key strategic priority will be identifying the best elements of Invitae's specialty testing experiences and reshaping them to serve all Labcorp customers. This is a foundational leadership role. You'll shape the team's culture, technical direction, and operating rhythm from the ground up. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, brings clarity to complex cross-functional initiatives, and is energized by the opportunity to improve how patients and providers interact with critical healthcare services. This person would own the software development lifecycle for a set of software systems including operational and production support responsibilities. They would manage a team of software engineers and provide coaching, mentorship, career development, architectural guidance, and support to their team.

  • Requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry or other highly regulated industries
  • Proficiency in one or more of: Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with web technologies and architectures
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, containerization, and Terraform is a strong plus.
