The Microsoft Purview team is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Purview for AI engineering team that helps customers secure their data from exfiltration or leakage through a suite of solutions including through network protocols and web traffic from browsers. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience with Distributed Services
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in designing, developing distributed systems on a cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Works with appropriate internal stakeholders to understand and determine customer/user requirements for a set of features.
• Understands and provides feedback for proposals for architecture, with technical leadership from others.
• Contributes to identifying dependencies and incorporate them into the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
• Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable with minimal supervision.
• Learns about and support deployment to customers by following the correct measures to push features out to customers.
• Contributes to efforts to ensure the correct processes are followed to achieve a high degree of security, privacy, safety, and accessibility.
• Applies best practices to build code based on well-established methods and secure design principles while also applying best practices for new code development and formal validation of security invariants.
• Works with partner teams to ensure a set of product features work well with the components of the partner team with minimal supervision before going live.
