Office Puzzle is an all-in-one platform that helps behavioral health, therapy, and home health providers focus on client care by simplifying scheduling, documentation, billing, and compliance. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team and take a leading role in building high-quality features across our platform. This is a hybrid position requiring strong technical expertise in frontend and backend development, with a commitment of 2 to 3 days per week in the office. You’ll work closely with other engineers and product managers to deliver solutions that help healthcare providers manage care more efficiently. This role goes beyond coding, you’ll help shape the technical direction of the platform, establish best practices, and mentor other developers. We're a fast-moving team where your decisions and contributions will have immediate, visible impact.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with exposure to modern frameworks like Vue
• Strong backend development experience
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, including architecture, testing, performance, and scalability
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest or similar
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in healthcare or other regulated environments
• Experience with Vue and Nuxt
• Familiarity with Symfony and PHP for backend development
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM
• Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical projects

Responsibilities

• Lead Feature Development
• Design, develop, and maintain complex frontend and backend features
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment and monitoring
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern development practices
• Contribute to system architecture and design decisions that support performance, security, and scalability
• Lead code reviews, technical discussions, and help establish coding standards
• Identify and resolve technical challenges proactively
• Guide and support junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Work closely with product to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Collaborate in a hybrid environment with effective communication
• Help improve internal processes, DevOps practices, and development workflows
• Drive testing strategies and ensure consistent code quality through test automation
• Balance delivery speed with long-term technical goals and maintainability
