About The Position

Openings available for Senior Software Engineer at Cotiviti, Inc. in South Jordan, UT. The role involves designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing internally developed applications, including the Common Data Ingestion Platform and the Data Set Mapper. The engineer will analyze and resolve software-related issues from internal or external customers, document specifications, design, features, and operations of applications prior to production rollout, and execute solution enhancements to improve software performance and availability. The position also requires contributing to the design of scalable and maintainable software applications, integrating software components with third-party systems, conducting code reviews, and identifying and addressing application performance issues in code and databases. The engineer will perform version control management, communicate technical and operational issues to engineering and business leadership, ensure adherence to technology standards, explore new ideas for process improvement, and continuously enhance knowledge of new technologies. Collaboration with senior developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders is essential, along with mentoring other developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience developing software applications in the U.S. healthcare industry.
  • 5 years of experience with Java, J2EE, Oracle, JSF, and ETL tools, including ODI.
  • 2 years of experience with SQL Server and Angular.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, support, and enhance internally developed applications.

  • Explore new ideas and make innovative contributions to improve efficiency and results.
  • Continuously improve and enhance knowledge of new technologies.
  • Execute all facets of the Cotiviti software development lifecycle with a desire for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor other developers.
